Today I’m going to review a very known product in Malaysia, Coalface soap by Kayman beauty. This product is so popular now, so I decided to join the hype. I read that a lot of people succeeded in clearing their acne with this soap and I was like wow, I gotta try this. I like the founder, she’s not arrogant like some of the Malaysian’s beauty founder here. She’s knowledgeable too!
 

First thing first, what is Coalface soap?

Coalface soap is a cleanser in a solid bar, the color is black and the shape is oval. The main ingredient is, of course, activated charcoal, it increases the effectiveness of removing excess sebum and dirt from pores which are called as “oil magnet”. 

 Not to forget honey, which acts as anti-bacterial properties, which can help to reduce acne. If you have fungal acne, you can use this product without having to worry about it.

Coalface soap also:

-Paraben-free
-Alcohol-free
-Sulfate-free
-Silicone-free
-Fungal-acne safe and it has minimal ingredients which is good.
-But it’s not Eu Allergen-free.
 Ph level: 6.07 (low ph which is good).

Activated charcoal, Honey, Sodium Hydroxide, Linalool (fragrance), Glycerin (good for dry skin).

 What’s the difference between coalface soap with coalface cleanser?

My skin concern:

Acne, fungal acne, Dehydrated skin, large pores, blackheads.

 

My verdict/review.

I used it for almost 3 months, in the hope of clearing my acne and a bit of the scar. It does make my face soft after using it, not gonna lie. Sometimes I don’t use moisturiser but my face still feels soft, which is amazing. But you need to use moisturiser and sunscreen eh, don’t follow me haha. But then my scars didn’t really fade, I guess I need to use The Ordinary Niacinamide with Zinc lmao. Later ah.

Another thing is, I should buy coalface cleanser instead of coalface soap. Because my skin is too dry and have fungal acne, and coalface cleanser is more hydrating than the soap, people with oily acne-prone skin are more suitable with coalface soap. 

Coalface cleanser also contains aloe vera and green tea extract which are good for fungal acne and extra soothing effect. Also, I’m not a fan of soap because when I rub it on my hand it slips away and falls on the floor. Imagine how sad I am when the soap fell L 

Also when I forgot to dry the soap, the water melts it and it’s kinda like a slimy haha. So I really should consider buying the coalface cleanser because it comes in a pump bottle. Much easier.

This is a review about The Garnier Aqua Defense Essense. It's not a paid review ya I just want to share with you guys the pros and cons of this product. I bought this moisturizer a long time ago and I still have it like a little residue left but I don't want to use it anymore because I have a better moisturizer.



The Garnier Aqua Defense Essense comes in a light green gel form in a tub. The tub is big and cute.

So here is what Garnier says about the moisturizer :

Daily stress and pollution can dehydrate your skin and cause it look dull and dry. Garnier new upgraded Aqua Defense non-stop intensive hydrating essence, enriched with Mountain Spring Water -- helps enhance skin's natural water retention ability; anti-oxidant white tea & green tea extract -- helps protect skin from external aggressions, giving you a smooth and soft complexion.

Direction for use :

Use it every morning and evening, apply on perfectly cleanse face and neck.

Ingredients :

Aqua/water, glycerin, alcohol, dimethicone, isononyl isononanoate, vitis vinifera extract/grape fruit water, carbomer, calcium gluconate, camellia sinensis leaf extract, dimethiconol, sodium citrate, sodium hydroxide, actinidia chinensis water/kiwi fruit water, magnesium gluconate, ascorbyl glucoside, caprylyl glycol, tetrasodium EDTA, biosaccheride gum-1, xanthan gum, menthoxypropanediol, tocopheryl acetate, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin, CI 19140, CI 42090, linalool, hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene caeboxaldehyde, butylphenyl methylpropional, benzyl alcohol, benzyl salicylate, parfum.


After I tried the moisturizer ..

This moisturizer has a minty feeling and makes me feels like there is alcohol on it, makes my face feel so weird and it kinda stings a bit though.

When you look at the ingredient, it has an alcohol, maybe that's why my face stings when I applied the moisturizer.

I have a dry skin so it doesn't really help on hydrating my skin that much. But it's so-so lah. I read on the review and someone said that "it can sting when you first apply it, but the gel absorbs so quickly that the stinging doesn't last and after using it for a few days your skin should be so well moisturized that you'll no longer get the stinging anyway." 

Sighs I just wish that worked on me but sadly it doesn't.

It may be worked on anyone else, who knows? It depends on the person and the skin type.

So here's the verdict :

Pros:

i) It doesn't break me out.

ii) It's cheap and affordable. You can get it at Watson or Guardian.

Cons:

i) The gel texture gives a refreshing feeling, but it doesn't keep my face moisturised for the entire day. After 4-5 hours, my face feels greasy.

ii) The moisturizer irritates my skin.

iii) The smell can be a little bit strong.

The Garnier Aqua Defense is available at local pharmacies and it's not that hard to find. That's all I guess. Thank you so much for reading this haha

Sesuai dengan muka saya. baunya pun wangi, bau honey.Tapi ada sesetengah orang tak suka fragrance tapi saya tak kisah sangat.

Produk ni mengandungi Salicylic Acid which is bertindak untuk sooth pimple.  Untuk jerawat yang besar ianya mengambil masa dalam 2-3 hari untuk mengecut. Nasib baik saya ni penyabar orangnya hahaha

Harga dalam RM 14.20(NP). Kalau beli masa promosi boleh dapat yang lagi murah. Tapi kena rajinlah.

Hi! This is my first time doing a review on a beauty product and I want to tell you guys about Syahirah Korean Secrets Moisturizer; Hyrdra Soft Moisturizing cream. I bought this moisturizer at Watson and since I used up my Garnier moisturizer I want to try this one. And since dekat Malaysia cuaca panas sangat disebabkan tempias Taufan Lan, memang hari-hari berbahang dan kulit muka pun sangat kering! Nasib baik ada Syahirah Korean Secret Moisturizer hehe

When I first try this moisturizer on my face, my skin feels soft and it doesn't irritate at all. It smells good too, it has a combination of Tri-Flower Essence - Ginseng, Chamomile & Green Tea flowers. The price is around RM 10.72 because it has a promotion. I think that its really good because its suitable for my dry skin and the texture is not sticky compare to the other products. Also, the bottle is pretty big and I think that it can last up to 2 months.
